Hotel Metropole: Recently restored to its Belle Époque glory, is the only remaining 19th century hotel in town. It has a sumptuous lobby glittering with chandeliers, and retains many of its original features. The 305 rooms, including 14 suites, have all their own character. The Metropole Hotel is over 100 years old and is situated at the very heart of Brussels and only a few minutes away from the Grand Place and just next to the largest shopping street of Brussels. The Central train station (providing a shuttle to the Airport every 20 minutes) and the South station (Eurostar and Thalys) are 500 meters away. The Metropole is everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel but with a tasteful luxury and unique character. The ground floor of the hotel has been classified as a historical monument a little while ago.
